Hiked several trails. None that hard as mostly flat. Beautiful area. Miners beach which was featured in Kid rock video "Born free" was absolutley incredible. Would be the perfect spot to spend the day on the beach having picnic or Grilling at one of the picnic table areas at the top of the hill overlooking beach. More

If you are into sea kayaking get in your car and go now! All kidding aside it was just a spectacular place to go. We have spent much time on Lakes Superior and Michigan and this is probably one of the lesser visited (US) locations with the most spectacular cliffs/caves to kayak around. Just an amazing place. We bought Sub-way in town and had a picnic at the park. The views were beautiful. Very nice walking paths. We drove to Au Sable Point area and walked the 1-2 miles to the light house. Fantastic views there too. Loved the lighthouse tour and guides were super. Got to climb to the top and walk out on the parapet.... More

It was so beautiful when we were there I didn't want to leave. Watching the eagle was an added bonus. Michigan at its best. More
