The river trail is the best thing I have found about Lansing. I like it so much I am going to move to a new place right next to trail access. Last weekend I rode 26 miles on the trail, which means I went both ways on nearly every part of the system. The parks were not too crowded to...

Long, paved path snaking from north side of town to near-south along riverfront and then East to city's zoo. Includes walking-scale distance of our solor system's planets. Access to downtown cultural center.
Plans were made to connect MSU's walking trail for all-day walks.

This is a long paved trail that follows the river through much of Lansing. It's safe and pretty. Great spot for a run, bike ride or walk.

Many different places to enter the trail. Great scenes along the Grand River. Pass by the City Market. See the Fish Ladder.
Great also for biking.

Walking or biking, the trail goes all through the Lansing area. It is well-used in the warmer seasons.

On your from...
