A FREE museum for everyone. Three levels of exhibits and the 2nd floor offers an awesome area for the kids to play and touch everything. We love going this to museum and the third floor changes every couple months and teaches kids about different countries or different themes. Awesome.

The kids love running up and down the stairs and seeing all the exhibits that are around the stairs. I really like the traveling exhibits that come through as they are interactive. There are normal exhibits too but they are most often geared toward slightly older children as young ones do not have the patience to read and/or listen to... More

Nice hands on exhibits for the younger set, and a nice historical area for the young at heart. Very well done, and FREE.

We had a couple of hours to kill so we thought we would check out the museum. I was surprised to find no entrance fee! (They do accept donations, which I willingly did.) The museum is on 3 levels, but it has an elevator. The exhibits were informative and fun - many of them are hands on, which our child... More

Went to the Story Telling Festival. It was a good time and the museum was very nice. Definitely worth checking out!

I've come to Kalamazoo with my kids yearly and heard about this museum, but never went before this summer. My 16 yr old boy, 13 and 11 yr old girls, husband and I all enjoyed different things at the museum. Plenty of hands-on that even we big kids enjoyed. My sister started bringing her son when he was a toddler... More

Very impressed by this museum. Would have been impressed with a modest entrance fee, but all the more given that admission is free. Special craft activities offered during the New Year holiday that we spent just a bit of time in the actual permanent galleries, but we will definitely return with our young family. Definitely worth the 50 minute trip... More

Free entrance, donations accepted. Parking cost a few dollars with two lots close by. The museum exhibits change frequently. Most exhibits are child friendly and usual incorporate a hands on approach. The even have a real mummy. And, they run special kids crafts from 1p-3p sometimes when school is not in session. On the weekends they have special movies and... More

My kids love this place and I do too! Great events and cool things to see! We go about once a month or so and there is always something new going on. Check it out, price can't be beat!

The museum is decent sized for being in downtown Kalamazoo. It is big enough to take a couple hours to go through. It has an area for kids to interact with some games. It is clean and well kept. I’m not really a museum person, but it is a nice place to check out.
