If you're coming for out of town you're much better off going farther North onto Lake Michigan. This area in the past has had huge problems with bacteria making it, at times, unsafe to swim.

Don't look now but it will be closed again soon because of poor/unsafe water quality. It happens every year.

This is a great beach and picnic place. Lots of space for a family to come and hang out for the day. There is a pool, miniature golf, and other activities for a fee. Enjoy the sun, lake, and family at this gem.

lot of things to do: tennis, biking, dancing, picnic, etc... The park is well maintained.

It's beautiful, the area is wonderful for the family... too bad the water is typically too gross to swim in.

The beach is regularly closed for e-coli bacteria. Make sure to watch out before most recent reviews before getting into the water. They do have fun, free outdoor concerts on the lawn in the summer.
