I've watched dozens of shows and games here, from a wheelchair, and have never had anything less than a good time. There is plenty of accessible seating and I believe they are all pretty good seats; also, I have been able to exchange regular seats for accessible ones when necessary (like if a friend wants me to take someone's place... This was my first time at Van Andel Arena. I found parking to be easy. Getting in was fast and easy--too easy. You are not supposed to bring food in. I opened my bag for the checker to see and expected to throw away my food. He didn't see it and just let me in. What if it had been... More

We've only been to Van Andel a few times but it is a really nice arena. We like to get downtown early and park and eat so we avoid the parking issues and traffic. We use the pedestrian walkway from a nearby hotel or restaurant so it's easy in and easy out, we avoid the traffic at the end too!!... More

The performers were wonderful, and we had great seats, but it was obvious that a rodeo had been in the venue recently... More

The Arena looked great from the outside. Unfortunately, was not able to get in to see the concert because there were too many people. The construction around the arena was a little frustrating. More

As a place that we frequent for both sporting events and concerts it is the best venue in Grand Rapids. Go downtown early for dinner at one of the nice restaurants nearby. Or have a drink with friends at the B.O.B. More

We saw a concert here. It is brand new and very nice. The sound was good and all seats seemed to have a good view. Wish they served local beer but service was great. They'll ask for ID even if you're old though! More

Attended Black Keys Concert on March 18, 2012. Very nice venue with the best location -- downtown where all the hotels and restaurants are located. As with most large arenas -- the sound could be better. Been spoiled by other smaller venues but possibly same problem with any venue of this size. The City of Grand Rapids was a very... More

Nice arena that doesn't overwhelm with being oversized. Gets a good number of events. Only downside is parking can take a while. More
