This is a wonderful view of the island. You overlook the golf course on the left and fields as well. The drive there is nice as well. Bring your camera...because its great for photography.

It is always fun to go to the lighthouse. Even though they moved it back, the erosion is eating away near it - awful. Try to go there on a weekend when it is open and you can get a tour, climb inside, and see the view.

Located at the entrance to the harbor, the Sankaty lighthouse welcomes you to Nantucket. It is a nice little lighthouse with a beautiful vista.

We wanted to visit the lighthouse, but it was getting late when we finally arrived at Siasconset Beach. We had decided that we weren't going to be able to pay a visit to the Sankaty Head Lighthouse on this visit to Nantucket when a local resident of the island offered to drive us there. What an angel! It was one... More

A beautiful lighthouse on the Sconset bluff - bike out from town and stop at Claudette's for a sandwich on the way back.

It didn't appear possible to see this lighthouse from the beach after a long walk, but a car ride took us right up to the front door!

This is a gorgeous old lighthouse set on Nantucket - the best thing about visiting the lighthouse is how close you can get - you can actually read the build date over the lintel. Unlike so many things in Nantucket visintg the lighthouse is free!

You have to drive to this lighthouse, but it's tall red and white structure is easy to spot. You can not climb it, but it looks great in a photo.

One of the most surreal places I have been to. The drive out is scenic-along the winding Polpis Road and then, you turn the corner and there it is. I like to visit at night when the light is turning around or during hurricanes in the wind. One of my favorite spots on Earth is here. The lighthouse is located... More
