My family and I have been to Salisbury Beach (state park) many times over the years. It is a great inexpensive way to have your family enjoy the beach. It offers bathroom facilities, shower facilities, food, and a playground. There are lifeguards to help watch the young children (and even the teens). You will find a variety of people there.... More

Salisbury beach and reservation has a little bit for everyone. The beach which is adjacent to the boardwalk is a little dumpy with bars, clubs and the usual pizza, ice cream shops etc.. but it has gotten better over the past few years and is fun but not for everyone. Farther down the beach it is a little more remote... More

If you have the time to spend to get to he Cape, I wouldn't recommend Salisbury Beach. But if you're looking for a nice, hassle free, beach day near Boston, it' a pretty sweet place. The beach is clean, the crowd is family friendly, the restrooms and showers are well kept, and it's almost never hard to find parking. Admission... More

We went to Salisbury beach, Mass. for a week holiday. The beach was nice enough, however my biggest complaint was the lack of garbage cans. I could not locate any along the entire beach. This creates a beach full of litter. There were some along the street by the vendors, however on the beach there were none. The beach was... More

I spend every sat/sunday at the state reservation beach in the summer. Weather permitting. Affordable day pass, $9. Or if you are a MA resident, $35 for the season. They clean the beaches, have lifeguards and bathrooms. Wonderful on the Merrimack River to watch the boats go in and out! I've been coming here for over 20 years now. They... More

Salisbury used to be a nice place to . The beach, the ride and the small game rooms like like at the fairs. Food and intertainment was better. Now Its condo's and no entertainment . Its going down hill . The only place that has keeped its appeal is the reservation. Hamton Beach has developed much better. bring the old... More

I have to laugh at some of the comments and complaints I've read here about the Salisbury Beach Reservation. We been camping at the reservation off and on for the last 25 years. We have tented, camped in a pop-up trailer and now camp with a hybrid expandable trailer. We have also camped at almost all of the other coastal... More

Rented a house on this beach and had a great time. About 4 miles long but somewhat narrow at high tide. Plenty of room as the beach never felt overcrowded. Fenced in dunes lie between the beach and houses, many of them rentals. Nothing like walking out the door through the dunes to the sand and sea. Even on calm... More
