This is the beach to go to in the West End of Provicetown for watching the sunset. Many folks arrive to watch the sun set into the ocean. Great place for pictures.

If you are lucky enough to be there at the right time,--usually early spring--you may even see right whales feeding and cavorting just a few hundred yards offshore.

easy to get onto the beach for great sunset shots. The local magazine gives sunset times so you can make your way out there in time.

We were in Provincetown for 4 days in April, and went to Herring Beach every day to let the dogs run. I don't know how it is in season, but in April there was plenty of wide open spaces for the dogs to run. Beautiful, accessible beach.

nice to drive within 12 feet of the ocean with lots of parking. Sad to see the beach erosion over the winter. Dog friendly beach makes it inviting anyday.

long sandy beach with a possiblitiy to see whales in the spring migration although we did not. parking right beside beach so did not have to walk over sand dunes. great view of ocean

Worth a visit if you like the ocean and being able to get right next to it. The parking lot is on the beach so in the cold April wind we could easily view the ocean, the sunset and the wildlife from the car. Highly recommend.

Took our lunch and spent time sitting, relaxing and enjoying the view.Seem like lots of our people had the same ideal.
