It was a beautiful little museum and the historical informaiton made my boyfriend and I want to explore more and more about the Hoosac tunnel and surrounding towns. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly, it's a shame it's not easier to find - but really worth a visit. More

After driving the Mohawk Trail I wanted to visit this historical park to learn more about the Hoosic Tunnel. But upon arrival at 4:02PM I found out that the park was closing early that day - at 4:00PM - and the doors were locked. More

This little known park (located just beyond the overpass to the South of Downtown North Adams, houses a great pub (Freight Yard Pub - really good fish and chips) as well as the North Adams Museum of History and Science, which is a cute little museum focusing on the history of the area including the famed Hoosic Tunnel.
