We have used the group site for camping and it is very remote and well laid out. As far as the rest of the park goes there is a nice beach for day use, and lots of trails for hiking including a trail that goes up to fire tower for a view. I haven't actually camped in the regular camping...

I've spent hours at DARSF with friends, walking along quiet roads and trails. The setting is gorgeous, and light car and foot traffic allows you to pass the time without a lot of interruptions or distractions. Note: there's a reasonable entrance fee if you drive in.
