No trip to Battleship Cove is complete without visiting the PT Boat Museum located there as well. Inside the two enclosed Quonset huts is the fully restored 80-foot Elco PT 617 and the 78-foot Higgins PT 796 undergoing restoration. Both PT Boats are National Historic Landmarks. PT Boats were in the thick of the fighting starting at Pearl Harbor, those... More

What if you could explore a destroyer, a Russian corvette, a submarine and a battleship? We spent almost two hours there and could see how people could spend a lot longer there. Great for families showing daily life on board as well as during conflicts.

We stopped here on our last day of april vacation and had only figured on being there an hour or so. We ended up being there over 3 hours! There are 5 ships you can explore and it is just amazing to see everything. Our daughter who is very picky absolutely loved it and wanted to explore every nook and... More

The Battleship Cove area is beautiful, and possibly my favorite place in Fall River. Some parts of the city are very urban, but this area has a nice boardwalk on the Taunton River, overlooking the USS Massachusetts and the Braga Bridge. This all makes for great photo opportunities and a lovely view. For a fee, you can visit the nearby... More

This is the largest collection of decommissioned warships in the country.Works for a rainy day or a sunny one. Exhibits are inside the battleships, as well as in the PT boat museum. USS Massachusetts is a wonder for all ages. Accessibility could be an issue if you have trouble with stairs. Room after room of tiny military models captivated our... More

This is a great place to see a retired battleship. It is a World War II site. You'll love the rooms.

I always visit here when I am in this area. It is important to preserve the memory of these ships and of the men who served aboard them. It is always worth another visit because there is always a new display, or project. There is no other place on Earth will you will see these many historic ships in one... More

Where else can you see a World War II battleship, a destroyer, a PT boat, a Russian ship from the cold war? This is a very hands on place you can go almost anywhere, touch many things, and experience history for a great price. You can start off with a tour of the Lionfish, a Wolrd War II submarine and... I've been to Battleship Cove twice. The first time we got an unbelievable tour of the Russian Missile Corvette that is currently being renovated. The second time I visited with my younger brother and explored all of the other boats. This place is a living history museum that everyone should visit. It never seems that busy so you'll get to... An amazing collection of warships from the WW2+ period. I went when it was very quiet, and basically had the run of the place. It seemed that I could walk anywhere on the ships, engine room, accommodation, bridge etc... very few places were off limits. This was in contrast to the Intrepid Air Sea and Space Museum which I felt... More
