I went here 25 years ago & took my nephew this past summer. Wow. The things you remember from childhood & things you couldn't comprehend back then. I would explain hurricanes to kids before going in so they can understand how OC was forever changed. The boardwalk games and rides as well as bathing suits over the years were so...

Nice museum, very well kept, right at the end of the boardwalk, great ocean views--use a coupon--you will save $3.oo on admission price

Great displays and history. Kids enjoyed themselves. I would repeat in the future. Economical alternative to other expenses on the boardwalk.
They have some fascinating displays of equipment used to rescue people from shipwrecks, and we talked to a volunteer who happily explained in detail how each piece of equipment would be used. they also have some aquariums with local sea life.
Although the museum was closed during our visit, the displays around the building were interesting. Showing a bit of OC history
Price was fair, exhibits and history very interesting. The staff working were very friendly and this puts a good hold on how OC was and has developed.
When we checked out the life saving station there were lots of interesting displays. It makes you think of all the history and advancements made in EMS.
Very informative. Staff is very knowledgeable. Very reasonably priced. You can spend as little as an hour or really take your time and look over everything.
