This pavilion area was a great location for a wine festival. Lots of easy parking, and access to the park area, with plenty of shade trees, and picnic tables throughout. Rubber matting made walking for an extended period very comfortable too, The festival was great and special thanks go to Merriweather Post for a great host facility. More

Great accoustics. Well planned out venue. Plenty of restrooms and bars and food. More

I went to several concerts at MPP in the 90's and it was a terrific place . Fast forward to this year....this place is now a waste of time and money. I drove 125 miles and spent $200 for a nearby hotel room to see a concert. Very disappointed in the security measures at this hole. I purchased 3rd row... More

I have been to MPP a few times- they get a pretty good line up and host some big name national bands and artists (My most recent concert at Merriweather was the line up of Gavin DeGraw, Train and Maroon 5- to which I took my 5 and 9 year old kids with me). Parking is horrendous- be prepared to... More

nothing great here, food is boring, do not like the acoustics or the seating layout, getting in and out can be a little confusing, small stage More

This is really a nice little venue in the middle of Columbia. I always prefer paying for covered seating in case of rain, but the grass is also packed with people on blankets listening to the music. Always crowded but fun. More

Don't sit in Loge or on the lawn but good visibility from everywhere else. Food/beverages very expensive and they ran out of ketchup last time I was there. They don't allow the raunchy porn bands so taking the kids or your Mom is fine. Too bad the scalpers work so hard to buy the good tickets first. More

How often can you go to a quaint concert venue with sprawling lawns with good acoustics? Have been going here for 30 years...probably more appreciated for the nostalgia than the high tech acoustics. But once you've visited, you'll never forget. In serious need of some upgrades (restrooms, concession area), but offers great array of concert-type seating in traditionally uncomfortable folding... Only part of the seats are under cover with good views of the performers. The lawn is okay if you just want to listen to the performers but pray that it doesn't rain! More
