We had a great time and spent 6 hours here until they closed for the day. The rides were fun. The animal enclosures were smaller than what we are use to but all in all a fun thing to do once in your life time.

I think it's all about expectations. This is a small, no frills zoo. It's cute. It's walkable. My 5 year old had a blast in summary. But it feels a bit tired and as a result, I found the entrance fee to be steep ($8). You could ride a pony or camel (+$5). They had a special butterfly exhibit where...

It is nothing fancy but it's enough to keep kid up to teens occupied for an afternoon. There is an area with animals that we did not make it to.

We go every year at this time. There are lots of babies.and due to the cool weather all the animals were out and about.

Great fun for the kids that won't break the bank! If you combined the zoo with a carnival and amusement park you'd get this place. Advice: park at and enter from rear entrance.
My sister lived in Maine at the time we went to the York ZOO. Ireally like this zoo, my son got to ride a horse for the first time, we got to witness an elephant that painted with a paint brush and ate ice cream cones... This zoo is very easy to navigate through and i always remember it fondly....

Excellent place to spend the day with the kids. We all enjoyed all the animals, rides and food. Can't wait to go back.
We have been to York's Wild Kingdom for the past three years and I expect to be back every year until my kids no longer wish to visit. My kids have had rides on elephants and camels at York's and seriously enjoy the paddle boats. There are a wide range of animals and a relaxing butterfly enclosure. You can bring...
