This house was built by my great great grandfather Sewall and was subsequently taken over by Elizabeth Perkins, a wealthy Bostonian back in the victorian days. It has indian shutters to protect against indian attacks and arrows, is absolutely lovely inside and will not disappoint.

Apart from an awesome setting and an above-average historic house, this docent led tour tells the story of the woman who is responsible for the colonial revival movement in America. As one of several houses in the Museums of Old York collection, the Perkins house is most notable for preserving the legacy of its owner.
