Saw the sign while driving by and decided to take a look. Wow. There is a nice beach as you walk in, but the real prize are the picnic tables hidden along the rock bluffs. Gorgeous views of the ocean, shade if you want it, giant rocks for sunbathing and a view if the islands off the coast. Spectacular. They...

Birch Point Beach is a lovely stretch of sand flanked by rocky coast on both edges. The beautiful view looks out on the islands of the Muscle Ridge. This is a great place for a picnic, building a drippy sand castle, or wading in the (rather chilly) water. Generally there is plenty of parking except on the rare hot weekend...

Pebbly and ledge beach area. Nice to walk out at low tide, though. Woodsy surroundings. Bathroom/changing room. Nice to relax on a misty afternoon.
