We booked a river trip on the Penobscot this summer for 8 people. The guides were very nice but management is definitely NOT. Our daughter was extremely sick the morning of the trip (which eventually led to 6 days in the hospital). They refused to credit us for her and could care less about our situation. On our moose excursion we saw 3 moose. Needed a little more training on paddling a canoe but enjoyed the pond and bull moose. The party was small and guide was very knowledgable. We went rafting with Northeast. Our guide, Mary, was a lot of fun and a wealth of knowledge. We are very inexperienced rafters and we felt very safe and informed about the river before we ever left shore. The rapids were amazing and the trip was on that we will never forget! Despite the fact that it rained our whole rafting day, the rafting trip with Northeast Guides was the highlight of our vacation.
