We were driving north to Quebec, and just stopped for a break and to look at the beautiful lake. It's so big and the hills are covered with trees, it looks kind of like a movie setting! Then we saw the sign for Jack's air tours. A quick phone call and in no time we were climbing into the prop... More

The first view on the lake ist really breathtaking. We have never seen such a view before. Hiking to Big Moose Pond and Little moose pond is an expierence but you have to go to Mount Kineo! More

Some lakes now adays have become very very comerical. Moosehead is diffrent it still feels old and fun. Not too much shopping if that's what your looking for. Sea-planes take off and land daily and there quite a sight to see. More

This is such a beautiful site. My family and I go up every year and stay in our family cabin right on moosehead. It is so gorgeous to wake up to in the morning and it's an experience you will never forget. The sunset hitting the water is so beautiful and is something no one should miss out on. I... More

This is the most beautiful and scenic lake I have ever been to. It is a very large lake and the largest lake in Maine. And the best part, it is not crowded! The town of Greenville is a small, quaint town with good restaurants and the town is not commercialized like many other places in Maine. Two must do's are... More

Spent 4 days on moosehead lake. Very relaxing, despite a lot of rain. This lake is more like an ocean...we heard of 7 foot waves during storms. We rented a pontoon boat at Beaver Creek Marina and had a great time...it does get choppy out in the middle. Another good time is canoeing on Prong Pond - more like a... More
