Loved the Deer Isle Art Association art gallery, The Whale's Rib Restaurant, the Periwinkle for magazines and copies of The Lupine Lady. Also liked the Red Dot Art Gallery...and the Ice Cream Shop for no sugar added flavors. My husband is diabetic.

Avoid the crowds of Bar Harbor and visit this small island. The other half of this island is Stonington. Excellent carbmeat and lobster. people very polite. Try fried clams while you visit. Wonderful crafts to buy.
