The garden rates as one of the best we have visited, including a number of well known gardens in England. Great Children's Garden, outstanding perennial beds, rhododendrons. You just must go if you like gardens. Much of it is handicapped accessible.

As a gardener I really appreciate a richly planted, well planned garden with lots of labels so I can "try this at home". I was amazed at how much was blooming at the end of May, and how full the planting beds were already. Also enjoyed walking the trails. I have never seen such an array of blooming ladyslipper orchids,...

Absolutely beautiful. Easy grounds to walk and incredible scenery. There are about 1.5 miles of trails and they could be walked in an hour or so, but we ended up spending almost 3 hrs. Take your time and enjoy an afternoon of zen in a beautiful place. For those who might have trouble walking the whole place, there are shuttles...

My wife has been dragging me to various gardens for over 40 years. I enthusiastically rate this the best of all. A superb example of landscape architecture. Go on a rainy, misty day! Lovely and uncrowded. Nice cafe too, with good micro-brew selection.
The gardens were beautiful! They were expansive and we only saw about half of the grounds. The children's garden was the best we've seen. Our son (2) could have spent all day there if we hadn't dragged him to other parts of the garden. We had lunch at the cafe and the food was good. This was a great stop...

A bit of wild, a bit of formal gardens. Nice gift shop. Discounts for seniors or AAA members. Golf carts for those who cannot walk far. Although we were too early for lunch, the menu in the cafe looked good.
If you enjoy visiting gardens you're in for a treat. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling very good so didn't get to stay as long as I wanted. They do have large golf carts to help you get around if you get tired of walking. Locals told us the restaurant was very good but we weren't ready to eat. The people working...

We visited the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens on a rainy day in June. Despite the weather, we really enjoyed our visit. Parking is ample and there are little shuttles that are here and there - offering rides whenever you need them. Sometimes the shuttles take a while to show up, but the drivers are very nice and will help you...

My friend and I spent 4 hours here. The rhododendrons were in full bloom. Absolutely amazing! you have to visit at different times of the season if you are a plant addict like we are. It was a relaxing day as we wander among the many gardens. The paths take you down to the shore, through a meditation garden, rose...
