Had a great time here, I was writing a better review, then I hit the backspace button, and lost all that I had written. So frustrating.

We were told that we should not miss the cultural center but we almost did. We were the only ones there (a Friday morning) and it looked closed. However, I went up to the door and was greeted by a guide that was most helpful. This is a very nice institution and you can get a good appreciation for the...

The place was very informative and provided a good movie about the Cajun history. It is a very good idea to visit this before visiting the next door Vermilionville so that you get an overview of the history. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is free too.
Excellent 30 minute film about the history of Cajun (Acadian) culture. Helps to put in perspective the family strength and tight culture.
We had not planned on going here but were early to Vermillionville so we went in to "kill" zoom time. We were very glad we did! Do not miss the video, it explained the Acadians history so well!
Very informative and well done and well maintained The people here are passionate avout maintaining the history

One reviewer called it "rather depressing" and another "overly dramatic," but the...
