We had a terrific French guide who took our Road Scholar gang through an extensive tour of the grounds. Who knew you could use Spanish moss for that many things? More

Great walking tour through the artifacts, Cajun culture of past. Very friendly staff demonstrating Cajun crafts (music, hand made sewing) in various areas throughout. The recreated homes and other buildings depicting Acadienne life were great. Lunch in the dining room was terrific and was reasonably priced and the live Cajun band was an unexpected treat. We had a great time. More

I took the walking tour at my own pace. Especially enjoyed the La Maison Mouton with the woodworking skills demonstration. Also, the School with the wonderful fiddle music. More

Enjoyed strolling in this small historical site. They have representations of the Native Americans, trappers and Cajun living. The grounds are lovely, and the day we were there, the locals were having a cajun music "jam session". Also, demonstrations of basket weaving, and other ways that the inhabitants worked to survive. The employees are real Cajuns. They are friendly and eager to talk about Cajun culture. We particularly enjoyed the two musicians. Even though we visited on a weekday (few visitors), this didn't dampen the spirits of the Cajun hosts. More
