Our guide acted like she didnt want to be there, didnt know very much about life at the plantation, and left us with a sense of "Thats it?!" I came here as part of a school trip. The guides were patient with the kids and quite informative. The movie was interesting and just long enough. The grounds were beautiful, the live oaks majestic. The house itself offered a glimpse into plantation life, and death. More

You can visit the house, that is quite nice, however do not expect as I did to visit a plantation. No information were provided about the sugar cane cultivations, the method for producing sugar, the life and the life conditions of the slaves. These would be much more interesting for a visitor than just a house, and this can be... More

This was a very interesting tour. The tour guide was interesting, we saw demonstrations. It was worth the admission price. More

but presented as a more "typical" size plantation home than say Tara! And in that regard, it was very interesting and worth the visit, within an hour of downtown New Orleans. Don't expect much from the surrounding area as it's highly industrial with gas plants nearby! More
