It was very peaceful to walk through this area and to see and hear the wildlife. I very much enjoyed seeing the baby armadillo and thank you to the photographer there who pointed him out to us. More

Very inexpensive ($1-$2 for non residents) but can see all sorts of native critters on the mile or so long hike on a boardwalk through the swamp. Great experience for kids. Also has a nice reptile and amphibian display inside the nature center. More

$3 entry, and what fantastic value for money! just the indoor bit is worth more than that. To see all those snakes, spiders and other creatures was amazing! The walk around the swamp was really good, we saw a snake asleep on a log, could hear a woodpecker in the trees. Just to see all the trees and wildlife was... More

My family enjoyed how quiet it was and all the nature was wonderful. The walking paths were clean and wide. Very educational for children. Would definitely recommend More

Louisiana does a nice job in the Parks department and this swamp exhibit is no exception. You have lots of snakes and living creepy varmits to entertain you in the main building then you can head out on the elevated walkway to look for wildlife on your own. We went when the snakes were still out and it was fun... More

The swamp has a meandering path that takes you through the swamp even though you are close to Perkins Rowe and numerous other shops and restaurants. There is one short path and one longer path. Once you have walked and need to cool down, there is a nice indoor facility with a few exhibits and a gift shop. All this... More

Kids will be fascinated by the snakes, alligators, and other swamp critters on exhibit, but adults have seen it all before. The real reason to visit is the boardwalk through the swamp. Try go visit in the winter, when it's cooler and wetter. More
