Mark Twain called it "the ugliest thing on the Mississippi" but I love it. Go next door and have dinner at Tsunami. More

This building has been refurbished in the last few years and is absolutely beautiful. Has fabulous details in the construction and the spiral staircase is its most noticable feature. Loaded with lots of interesting Louisiana history and that of Huey Long More

The staff at the welcome desk was incredibly friendly. The display on the second floor showing all the governors of Louisiana was great. The exhibit on currency was fascinating. Overall a great way to spend an hour or two. Would definitely visit again. More

The Old State Capitol is beautiful and a wonderful place to visit because you are free to wander at your leisure, spending however much or however little time as you please. Everything is gorgeous, the staircase in particular. The majestically curving staircase is also great for pictures! The Old Capitol is great for a quick peek around or for someone... More

The old state capital is located in a nice area with many things to do near it. From the front it looks like a castle. The architecture is just beautiful. Across the street is the USS Kidd battleship. More
