Stroll along the banks of the Ohio River and view beautiful murals and immerse in the past. This area is very historic; whether it is from the pre-European era through the Civil War or the '37 flood, the Ohio was the backbone of trade and travel through these era's and this walk allows you to see the beauty and majesty... I try to go to the riverwalk every time that I go to Paducah. (I've been hundreds of times if that is any indicator) It is always so refreshing to just sit there and look at the water and feel the breeze as all of the many barges and riverboats pass by. So relaxing!

Lovely, enjoyable area to explore. The mural art is very interesting - every mural tells a story, and make sure to read the plaques that go along with them. The river itself is lovely, too, of course!

Take a walk through history reading the plaques as you pass the murals and the river. Take a moment and breathe as you complement the ever rolling river.

Took a walk after lunch and really enjoyed the river walk. Murals were amongst the best we have seen, great artwork. Really tells the history of the area of which we knew little. Nice core area of town to walk through.

Great place to stroll and watch the river boats at work! Nice area...some shade trees and several resting benches available for sitting and watching the hundreds of seagulls that seem to be all around. Lots of history facts and art to view...nice experience. Would go back again!

Paducah has done a great job in recent years of revamping and promoting the whole old town area. New shops, restorations, great new restaurants, friendly locals and shop owners. Over all just a great historic area to visit and the river walk area is just the icing on the cake. Whether just out for a stroll or to catch one... More

We were very surprised when we went down to the Historical area and toured some of the shops. We were there on a Monday and some of the shops were not open but there were enough to real get a feel for the area.
