Well restored pre to civil war period home. We arrived shortly before on the hour tour. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The home is well done in period item and deco, gives accurate view of Kentucky plantation life. The tour is lengthy so maybe be to long for younger children, but there is a lot to offer with this house...

On our most recent visit to Lexington, KY. this month (December 2012) we had to make a stop at the retail shop of the Ruth Hunt Candy Company for our chocolate bourbon ball fix. Fortunately, for us they continue to provide free samples of most of their 70 kinds of candies, but, most important my favorite chocolate covered bourbon balls...
