You might be very pleasantly surprised by the professional quality of the cast. The food is not to be searched out.

Go an hour before the play begins to enjoy a nice meal, but the plays are the main attraction!!! A very good cast is brought in each year for some very entertaining plays!! The founder has passed, but his children continue to do an outstanding job!!

This place is very historical. We've been several times in the past so we went with high expectations.
Needless to say.....DISAPOINTMENT!
With the playhouse trying to get into the everyone's pocket they reenacted a sex scene verbally! I could not believe my ears! We walked out.
By doing things to get into other people's pockets they have lost my money....probably...

A friend of mine from work says that she and her husband took in a play there this past summer. She said that it had great food and the play was very nice and highly recommended it for an evening out for two people.

My husband and I visited Pioneer Playhouse in Danville to see Johnny Crawford and his orchestra. People in Kentucky certainly are friendly. This group of Theater supporters really love their theater!
