We were there camping in our RV. This is a small campground and the sites are mostly shaded with nice spacing between the sites on the outside of the camping area. It is fairly well maintained and a small number of sites also have sewer available in addition to 30 amp electric and water. However be prepared to stretch your... More

Every year when the Kentucky Derby is on, I love to hear the rendition of the state song of Kentucky written by Stephen Foster! Having stopped in Bardstown, KY, we had the opportunity to actually see the home that inspired the songwriter. Now when I hear the song again, I will have a vision of this home.

This is a very nice old southern home were Steven Foster was thought to have visited. The history of the home is a bit sketchy but it certainly is a very nice restoration of an old southern home.

The golf course is wonderful to play. The Stephen Foster Story is so good, you'll want to see it every year and the tour of the Home is so interesting. Proud to be a Kentuckian. My Grandmother visited Bardstown many years ago and there was a Black fellow playing a fiddle and I am told she asked him for the... More

Bardstown rolls up the sidewalk on Sunday. Came in late afternoon to the town and everything was closed or else getting ready to close. Still a good town to take a walk about even if nothing open. The house and grounds are pretty. The Abbey south of town is interesting. Fudge is good at the Abbey.

Federal Hill has been lovingly restored and the docents are well versed in the history of the property. Very interesting and well worth the time.

Great scenery, nice to drive through, certainly a well maintained & respected kentucky Landmark. We were there on a lovely, beautiful Spring day and just had a nice, brief time

Even though I grew up in Ky, I'd never visit this attraction. Took our teenagers for a day trip over spring break and were somewhat disappointed. Our youngest loves the period dress of the tour guides but on this day we had a substitute guide who chose not to dress up. Its also a very small house tour compared to... More

We camped here & enjoyed a nice tour. The campground was small & clean and sits along one side of the golf course. In the evening after the golfers are gone, its pleasant to walk along the nearby golf path. Federal Hill was very impressive. The tour was informative and the interior has new historic wallpaper & carpeting which was... More

It wasn't great weather, I would have liked to walk the grounds a bit. The museum tour was short and sweet and the tour guide was dressed to the tens in a period dress.
