First, if you are local, I highly recommend a membership. Their prices are very reasonable, and you get reciprocal entry into many other zoos across the country. If you are simply visiting, this small zoo is worth a stop. You can see it all in just 2-3 hours, if you don't dawdle, and they have a nice variety of animals.... More

For a smaller city, Manhattan has an absolutely awesome zoo. They are definitely a must visit for anyone with small children. More

I loved the zoo. It has lots of animals and great size. I love a big zoo. The animals are totally up for taking pictures, of course if it's a good day for them, meaning if they feel like it :) I would recommend this to any one. More

Hopefully after all the construction is done, it's nicer. We have gone to this zoo twice as a family. After coming from DC and their zoo, we aren't really impressed with the Sunset Zoo. For a smaller city it's alright. We walked through both times in about 45 mins max. There just wasn't too much to look at or the... More

I am a huge zoo fan and did not go into this zoo expecting the worlds best zoo but here is what I found. This is a small zoo. Many of the animals that I was excited to see were not on display that day(otters, snow leopards, cheetah) however I visited in late march and it was cool and rainy,... More

Currently under construction at the entrance (building new Visitor Center), and adding a gibbon exhibit...otherwise, great place to take the kids to burn off energy, take wildlife photos with that new fancy camera, visit the petting zoo, eat at the covered picnic area (they do have a snack bar too), and playground...not to mention all the amazing animal exhibits: red...
