This is one of the most interesting museums outlining the history of Fort Leavenworth and our western expansion. Also, it has an excellent bookstore run by volunteers. this museum is well done. it is as described. it has a great collection of horse drawn carriages. it has some cool stuff from the mexican american war as well as artifacts from the lewis and clark era. if in the area it is definitely worth a stop. my one criticism is that the gift shop is weak. More

The Army Frontier Museum was a great way to find out more about American history and many of the life-size exhibits (including horse-drawn carriages!) are just brilliant and unique.
