The local guides WAY overstate the importance of this site, but nevertheless, its kind of campy and fun. The fact that Dvorak lived here in 1894 is cool. The clocks are real neat considering these dudes were just plain Iowa folk. But c'mon, the FORD CLOCK is not worth a million dollars..givmmee a breaqk.

The tour is about 45 minutes long and is worth seeing. The history behind the magnificent clocks that were hand-carved is just amazing. There is also a barn and a school house on the property that you can go through as well. I am so glad we took the time to go see the museum. The story of these two...

The details and abilities of these gentlemen is wonderful. Their ability needs to be portrayed by Iowa on a large scale and they should be extremely proud of these men. If you go to this region of Iowa, I recommend it if you appreciate artisians. I think even children would love all the little moving parts!

The wonderful carved clocks downstairs are worth a visit in and of themselves. However, this house that houses them is very important for what happened before they were there! This is the building in which Dvorak composed the American Quartet and his String Quintet, both of which draw heavily on the great Czech composers feel for Native American melody and...
