Getting a drink here is a pain in the rump without people acting like you're inconveniencing them. There is very little seating in the band area as well. However, the music is a blast if you like blues. I have been here numerous times, and haven't seen the same band yet. An Indy experience not to be missed. More

Great place to visit at least once. Food is good. Special place to visit. Outside dining is available and there is a family side for those with children. More

Visiting the somewhat overlooked and wonderfully inviting city of Indianapolis is a step you take once and immediately I looked forward to my next visit! I love Indy and the people there!!!... As for the gem The Slippery Noodle... - upon taking a horse-drawn carriage downtown to the Inn the first time - LIVE BLUES MUSIC EVERY NIGHT instantly grabs... More

Best blues bar I've been to in a while. Staff was awesome. They treat you like family. The bar has 2 sections plus patio. It was packed when I went last. It was hard to find a table but eventually found one. I love this place. met lots of great people who were there to have a good time. More

Sitting is impossible, walking even more so, this place is Tiny!! Drinks are weak, service was great for us though I saw some leave since they couldn't get a drink (which were extremely weak anyway) The bands where AWESOME! Was worth the music. I guess I just dont get it??? Maybe it's not usually this crazy, there was a lot... More

"Dis is it," a place where the lure of live music and a jumping atmosphere compel you to find a sitter for the kids and head downtown. Blues is the music du jour, although other styles take the stage occasionally. Check the website for open mike nights, special artist visits, and jam sesssions. Food is average bar fare ... but... We had one night in Indianapolis and thought this might be right up our alley. It did not disappoint!! A great blues duo, a guitarist and a harmonica player both excellent and got the full attention of the patrons. We had dinner there which was pretty good. A rib eye steak done properly. Deep fried pickles (first time and not... More

An oasis in dull, downtown Indianapolis. Arrived still buzzing on UK time and The slippery Noodle blues bars were just what was required. No idea what the food is like, but the music and beer were spot on. Mid-west USA is breathtakingly boring at best, with Indianapolis at its epicentre, but The Slippery Noodle bucks the trend with great live... More

This venue is in a really interesting old hotel/brothel/bar. We went on a blues jam night that was a lot of fun. There must have been at least 10 different musicians there to play. The owner or whoever that was picked different ones to play together at different times. The different mixtures of instruments and individuals made this really entertaining.... More

Been going to the Noodle for years and always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Live blues is always awesome, but if you take into account that this is a bar, everything else falls into above average or excellent. If you haven't been a waiter/ waitress in a crowded/noisy environment with live music blaring in your ears all night, you've... More
