Had a great time with my 2 kids and wife, fun to be on a paddlewheel. Has plenty of indoor Air conditioned space, a nice gift shop area inside, and a small bar. Was very hot out but the spray off the paddlewheel kept you cool. I would go again

We just returned from the three day trip from Peoria to St. Louis. I cannot say enough about all of the crew - from the Captain, cook, waitresses, gift shop hostess, deck hands, and entertainers. They absolutely work as a family - doing anything that will make your trip enjoyable. Breakfast was ready when we boarded in Peoria and we...

On August 6th my husband and I stepped aboard the Spirit of Peoria for a 2-day trip to Starved Rock State park. A great breakfast was being served and from that moment on we were eating and being entertained non-stop. The boat itself made us feel like we had stepped back in time 100 years. From the Captain to Ellen...

I will advise anybody and everybody to go on this trip. Perfect for relaxing and learning about Lincoln and local history. The entertainers are great, talented and hard working. I really felt a great deal of respect for them. The lodging was superior. The food was always taste. This trip is worth every single penny. I wonder how they make...

Our trip was the 2-day trip to Starved Rock State park and consisted of five sisters and our spouses. It was the perfect setting. The leisurely cruise, the great food, the entertainment, the friendly and efficient staff - we just loved it all. We have recommended this trip to several of our friends!
We sailed down the Mississippi on the only working paddle wheeler in the USA. What a treat - spelndid little ship, fantastic crew, interesting and varied overnight stops and a wonderful teller of geography / history notes, river tales, ghost stories, supported by music makers approrpiate to the journey. Much preferred to the alternative 'big' ships of the southern Mississippi,...

This review is of the three day Peoria to St. Louis cruise offered once a month May to October. I was on the May 2012 departure. The "Spirit of Peoria" is a true paddlewheel vessel, which can accommodate about 325 people, though the three day cruise is limited to a maximum of 120 so there is plenty of space, both...

My husband and I recently took a 3 day excursion on the Spirit of Peoria paddleboat. We had never been on a paddleboat ride before and were looking forward to it. Everything about the trip from start to finish was A-1. I booked over the phone and the lady was super nice and explained all the questions I had. Upon...
