I was expecting there to be more to this museum than there was. They touted having the biggest model of the solar system but it wasn't obvious how to actually see it. Be sure not to take young children. We are always looking for things to do when we visit my parents in Peoria. We have been to lake view 3 times and each time, even though we are in the kids area, this crabby old lady who works there follows us around and tells the kids not to touch, make noise,... More

The "regulars" are this museum are ok. Not a lot though. Small kids science area when hands on activities. Some of the traveling exhibits have been VERY GOOD--worthwhile to note what is currently here. The planetarium is VERY nice. Worth doing while you are there. It is a nice museum to have in a city the size of Peoria. More
