Its exterior is wholly clad in (recently-added) concrete panels with pea gravel aggregate overlaid atop the orioginal poured concrete. This is an amazing building, especially as a venue for small concerts. It is pure Wright -- classic, angular Prairie School design that is one of his masterpieces. It is actually a church with an active congregation that faces constant financial challenges in maintaining the building. Visit, and throw a few bucks into the coffer to support the ongoing (constant)...

Both the outside of this structure and the interior are radically different than any other house of worship that I've seen. The interior follows the FLW style of clean lines, earthy colors, and "non fussy" style with great light flowing from above. A must see building if in Oak Park.
Frank Lloyd is an international figure in building abnd designs. This temple is a testimony to this great genieous.
I am a great fan of frank Lloyd Wright so enjoy all his work. the temple was amazing in its design and although I didn't feel a certain type of comfort I do in a church it was still worth seeing.
Frank Lloyd Wright Unity Temple is also most popular area in Oak Park area. I usually see so many people comes to the area in the summer months.
Small and short tour but wonderful. Frank never ceases to inspire me. Went here for a self-tour but would love to come to mass sometime just to take it all in.
This building will amaze and thrill you. I love when beauty and history collides. It has the advantage of being across from the very lovely and very new Main Library in Oak Park which is also worth a visit.
The temple is very austere from the outside but amazingly light, airy and open on the inside. The spaces are great to be in. It's a pleasure to explore the interior spaces. I enjoyed just sitting in a pew and admiring the architecture. Anyone with an interest in architecture would thoroughly enjoy a visit.
