This is one of those beautiful old theaters saved from the wrecking ball. It is unbelievably ornate, with huge crystal chandeliers, winding staircases to the upper level, marble floor and columns in the lobby, and detailed, gold trimmed carving throughout. There is not a bad seat in the house. Joliet and the southwest and western Chicago suburbs are lucky to... More

This building is absolutely beautiful. It was a movie theater in the 1960's when I was in High School. I'm so glad they restored it to it's original beauty and are using it for live performances. More

If you like the lavish theaters of an era gone by you will love this restored theater. The chandilers, inlaid gold. the paintings, and the grand old beauty of this place is beatiful. They offer tours or you can attend one of the many shows they have all year. More

I saw lisa Lamanelli here like 3 years ago and stayed at Harrah's. It was fun, but I am 6'3. Be careful. More

Had tickets to see Jim Gaffigan and this was our first visit to this theater. Very nice. Love the old vintage feel inside. Well maintained.. We ate a nearby restaurant so were able to park there, so don't know about any other theater parking. When you leave the theater, its okay because there are large crowds; however, don't know if... Parking only $3 right across the street. Lots of police directing traffic, so we felt safe even with the show letting out at midnight. The lobby and theatre ceiling are gorgeous. It's one of those old time theatres. The bathrooms were not adequate to handing the ladies, so they opened some employee bathrooms behind the stage to accommodate. Easy in... More

Joliet Jake, Joliet Correctional Center, The Blues Brothers - all have at least one thing in common: the unforgettable John Belushi. On March 5, 1982, the world of comedy senselessly lost John Belushi to drug intoxication at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, CA. He left behind his lovely wife, Judy Belushi, who has been successful in keeping his memory... More
