If you like racing, this is the place for you. The Race for the Chase starts in Joliet in September.
We were there before 2012 to work for our son's high school's band, selling concessions. I am not personally into racing, but it was a fun place to be. I enjoyed the people and the ambiance! It was neat to roam the grounds and meet the booth sellers and racing celebs!
This is my back yard NASCAR Track. I go every year and never tire of this track. The seating is great and if you get upper rows you can see the whole 1 and 1/2 miles of racing. The food is not bad for track food either.
It was our first experience to a NASCAR race... certainly won't be our last. This place is enormous and the experience is unlike any other sporting event we have been to. We didn't realize how much time you could spend prior to the race walking through the souvenier haulers and the sponsors area. The bleachers were decent to sit on.... More
They still are lacking enough restrooms and food vendor prices are very high, but the race is what counts and this track delivers. Parking is pretty good and the facility is clean and welcomes fans with polite employees. There is plenty to do if you get early too. The only issue we had this visit was other fans not taking... Been coming to Chicagoland since it opened. This was one of the worse years. The price they charge for the campning is high. I live 10 minutes from the track and I can go to Michigan (including fuel, food, etc.) and stay longer at Michigan for less money. Then for some reason, this year they don't open the gates to... More
I've been to several different tracks and found this venue just as good as the rest. Traffic in was a bit of a pain, but parking was a breeze (and free). The haulers and all the sponsor events were set up really well and we had a blast going from one to the other. Mother nature would get a big... More
Even though there was a lengthy rain delay the event was spectacular. Traffic and parking in to and out of the event was one of the best we have ever seen, no problems that we encountered. The venue was well laid out with info booths readily available and shuttle service to the infield as well as for those with disabilities... More
This past weekend, we stayed at Paul and Marys's campground for he weekend of racing. It was a great experience. They're hospitable, organized, friendly and did a great job. The camping rates were very reasonable. They provided constant bus shuttling to and from the race track, which was only a couple miles up the road. On Saturday night they had... More
We come to Chicagoland Speedway a couple times a year when the NASCAR stock car races are in town. We are season ticket holders. Over all I like the track, the seats are nice because they have backs on them so you only need something to sit on so the metal isn't so hard. The food vendors could be better.... More
