We have a family reunion every year at Shabbona lake on the 4th of July. The park is always clean, well kept, and pleasant. We usually have a large group of friends and neighbors, and get there somewhat early to claim a shelter. We bring our own grills (though I think some small stationary ones are there) and spend the... The Shabbonna State Park is soo beautiful! The forest preserve has many animals to see! The dam is a great place to visit. You can go fishing in the lake, go on trails, sun bathe, etc. More
