Exhibits are outstanding -- especially the Sea otters, dolphins, penguins and jellyfish!!
Show was pretty interesting, but seating very uncomfortable for older people. Take a padded folding seat like you use on bleachers with you...

After taking a while to find parking and parking at a really expensive parking lot, lining up to buy $32 tickets for 30-40 minutes...we finally made it into the aquarium. I've been to many aquariums around the world and I can say the Shedd aquarium is nothing special. There were a lot of people and it was really noisy. Maybe...

Maybe I give it 4 stars if it hadn't have been so crowded; although maybe the place could've been designed to more easily accommodate crowds, I don't know. I've been to aquariums that offered similar and cost less. The dolphin/seal show underwhelmed as well. I did like the actual exhibits quite a bit, and overall that's the most important thing.

If you're here in the summer is try to get tickets for jazzin at the shedd. Great live jazz on the patio where you can have drinks and watch the sunset w/ awesome skyline views. I think it's on Wednesdays. Get there early to get a table and don't plan on eating there because it's pretty expensive for the quality....

We had so much fun seeing all of the animals at the museum. The 4D movie was neat too! The jelly fish and seahorses were interesting, I don't think you would find those in many zoos. We live in St. Louis and our zoo is free, so you know the aquarium had t impress if we were going to pay...

We lined up for 30 mintes to spend $32 each and managed to get through the place in about 45 minutes. While fairly comprehensive with the smaller species selection, there is not much in the larger species. Additionally, there is not much information about what you were seeing. It was hugely crowded making it extremely difficult to get close to...

A very big place with a lot to see. Great for the young and old. There's just something about seeing dolphins and whales that make it so relaxing and peaceful. Got the ticket as part of the CityPass to save some cash. Also nearby are a couple of other attractions, Adler planetarium, Soldier Field stadium and Museum of Science. Nice...

I'm extremely conflicted writing this review. First of all - we LOVE the aquarium itself. If you like aquariums this is a really cool one. Check out the penquins. The jelly fish are great. Don't miss the turtle with the missing flippers. It is a great place to visit.
Having said all of those nice things - these guys royally...

We went on a Sunday and it was very crowded, stuffy and smelly. The staff were very pushy about taking "family portraits" at the entrance even though we insisted we did not want our photo taken. After "escaping" from the pushy staff, we walked around trying to look at the numerous tanks of sea creatures. They were just too many...
