The REAL miner who gave us the tour was fabulous. We didn't have questions for him the entire tour because he was great and informative about the working silver mines in ID right now! He showed us on the tour how it really is working today. Made it even better to have a real worker giving the tour. More

We stumbled upon this town and loved it. One of the options is this tour. The trollery was neat and they gave interesting tidbits of information. The mine tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. We did not like that there were no children's hard hats; ear plugs we also not supplied and would have been useful. While it was not... More

Very interesting experience. I was a little nervous about feeling claustrophobic, but a woman who had just taken the tour convinced me I would be fine, and I was. There was only a small amount of time that you could not see either the entrance way or the exit. It was a very hot day, and the cool temperature of... More

From the great mining info to showing us the mining tools and how they work this (and the town of Wallace) was a highlight on our summer vacation. Very glad we stopped. More

In planning our time in Wallace, I really didn't know if I should add the Silver Mine tour to the itinerary, the cost seemed a bit steep, and I wasn't sure if it was worth the time. We decided to go ahead and do it, as other reviews were so positive. We're sure glad we did! The trolley driver gives... More

We stopped at the silver mine to see exactly what a miner's job entails. The people were really friendly and knowledgeable on the mines. They offered a coat to wear while touring as it gets really cold (50) in the mines. The trolly to the mine was very informative as they told us the history of the town. Real miners... More

We totally enjoyed the Sierra Silver Mine! We've been on lots of mine tours, but this is by far the best! The guides are retired miners, and they demonstrate mining machines, not just hand tools. Wally, our guide taught us all about hard rock mining, and also told us some great stories about when he worked in the mine. They... More

This was the real deal! A real silver mine and the guides were real miners! We learned so much about where metals come from, and what it was like to work in a mine. It was fun and educational. The trolley ride was great ann everybody that works there is real nice and helpful. More
