Ended up spending a bit more time at the zoo than I had initially planned but it was merely because of the incredible set up they had. The zoo has a large variety of animals to explore, though I must admit I got a bit sad when the red pandas were hiding, but aside from that, the trip couldn't have... More

We had an afternoon to kill before our flight, and stopped by the local zoo, located in Julia Davis Park. This was a cool mid-sized zoo! It had enough exhibits to offer variety and some animals we hadn't seen before, but wasn't too packed to get around or too crazy to navigate. It was nice to stop by without committing... More

The zoo does a mother's day brunch before the zoo opens. After the brunch is eaten, they brought out a special animal and shared him with us. We even were allowed to touch this animal and enjoy a contact that normally wouldn't ever happen even in the wild! We sat out in the open and could hear all the animals... More

The Boise Zoo is always a great place to take our grandkids. They never get tired of it and it helps burn a lot of their energy. Since our last visit several months ago, they have added several new animals. If you haven't been there since last summer, I'd recommend going again to see the added attractions. As always, the... Not all exhibits are open in March but the ones that were are good. We would like to come back in early summer when all of them are open. All the kids were having tons of fun.

We take our two small daughters to Zoo Boise frequently. Even though they have seen all of the animals over and over, we always have a great time and want to go back.

Our daughter is all grown up, but when she visited us in Boise we took her to the Zoo like when she was little. There is a good selection of various animals to view and plenty of paths to explore. Very reasonably priced.

Great place to take the kids for a day away from the house. Not the biggest by far but nice sized and in a great area of town.

There's not anything special about the zoo, which is along the edge of the downtown area but I do like the surrounding area. It's surrounded by a rose garden, a large pond with paddle boats and wild geese and lots of walking paths.
