We had toured the Robert Toombs House several times both by ourselves and with family. Each and every time you always see something new and learn a little more history. Great!

It was very interesting. It is a big house and the outside is very nice also. They were getting ready for an event the next day in which people came in dressed in period clothing. The gentleman that showed us around was to play Robert Toombs in the event. Will definitely be checking that out next year!

I am not from Georgia, so I am not familiar with Robert Toombs or his impact on Georgia history. I did enjoy the tour of his house. It is beautiful and the houses around it are just as nice. Our tour guide was very nice.

If you love to roam around in antebellum mansions don't miss this one. Restored to pristine condition, the Robert Toombs house is the epitome of how the rich and famous lived in the old, deep South. Check out The Opera house while in Washington also.

We had a nice time wandering around the Robert Toombs house. Before visiting, I didn't know much about Toombs, but the museum really gave a sense of his life and many accomplishments. When we went, the tour was self-guided and we were given a booklet with maps and some explanations, but I would have liked to have a bit more... More
