The tour is very well organized and the grounds are beautiful. Our tour guide "Louise" was most informative and kept the tour interesting. As and added plus there was going to be a wedding on the grounds that afternoon and the happiness of the visitors was very contagious. All the best!

We had some extra time over Sunday and decided to visit Pebble Hill Plantation. It is only 30 min drive form Tallahassee, so not bad at all. Before self guided tour we were asked to see a short video that helped to undersand the history of the estates. We had time to do just a ground walking tour, not the...

This plantation is amazing....plan on spending at least 3-4 hours there. The house tour is only a small part but you will be astonished at the artwork there; Audubon first edition prints are everywhere along with a multitude of English and American artists. The grounds walking tour is an example of post Civil War era living. The moss draped trees...

We visited Pebble Hill during a three day stay at Freedom Oaks in Thomasville, Georgia. The drive up to the house is very atmospheric, trees draped in Spanish Moss and interesting vistas round every corner. The Visitor Centre is welcoming and you get to see a short video that introduces the main personalities that shaped the house. The tour was...

The grounds were nice but not beautiful. The staff I found to be most accommodating. The young man at the admissions desk went out of his way for another couple and us. We were there at 12:00 and they don't open until 1:00 but he allowed us to tour the grounds, self guided, until the house tour began at 1:00....

I've toured many homes/mansions all over the country and other than Biltmore, this is my favorite. The home looks a little worn on the outside, but the inside is beautifully maintained. The design, foresight in building, and preservation of original pieces is impressive. Being able to step into the rooms instead of peeping through a doorway added much to the...

I have visited the plantation a couple of times during my trips to Thomasville. The last time- and I do mean the LAST time-with my nephews. one of the guides informed me that I needed to hold my nephew's hand (6 yoa) because he could see that he ( my nephew) was " a knucklehead". I suggested he update his...

Pebble Hill Plantation is the jewel in the crown of Thomasville! Several buildings to visit, and the main house is a gem of a museum. I can't imagine visiting Thomasville without going to Pebble Hill.

We came to Thomasville with little planning and stumbled on this activity in Trip Advisor. Turned out to be a real gem. This plantation is huge. Everything is extremely well maintained. The guides were great examples of southern hospitality.
The plantation was mostly used for hunting and entertainment, so it doesn't have the decadent flair of places like the Vanderbilt...
