Stop by historic downtown Perry for a romantic stroll. Stop at the barber shop for a cut, look in the shops, but do not skip the bakery , open Fri and Sat. Visit the old cemetery and have happy hour at The New Perry Hotel, where you'll meet the friendliest people.

Most of the shops are closed on Mondays (many are owner operated so they use Sunday/Monday as their weekend) so be sure to visit Tuesday - Saturday. The variety of shops has something of interest for everyone. Shop for clothing from children to adult, antiques or gifts while in Perry.

I visit annually during a Beaches and Back yard sale event that starts in Perry and goes all the way to Savannah. The town is quaint and looks pretty much the way all Georgia/Florida little downtown areas have looked for the last 100 years. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either.

The New Perry Hotel lobby, the shops and the warm atmosphere make this a worthwhile stop. Love the small town charm.

Modern courthouse, old Confederate statue. Not much other activity. We ate dinner at Rusty's, wlked down the street with closed tourist shops and left.

I love going to Perry! It is like Mayberry, RFD, and the folks that live and work there are friendly and nice. Lovely quaint downtown district, and lots of small shops to find antiques. Love Perry, Georgia!
