The park can be accessed even if you are not staying at Lake Blackshears Resort. Very quiet - nice long walk. There is a small outdoor museum of military vehicles in the park also.
This Georgia State Park offers so much and the rental cabins are a great bargain. First off, the museum and many aircraft static displays are amazing and well worth a visit. The grounds of this very large state park offer opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, frisbee golf course, and with all of the open areas, just about anything from kite... More
Drove the extra 10 miles while staying at a hotel off 75....wow what a place..the museum was excellent ....a lot of wartime memorabilia and outside a lot of planes, tanks etc.....we just visited the visitor area and museum but well worth the side trip...plus Lake Blackshear was beautiful and peaceful....

This Georgia State Park gem has a golf course, lake, lodge/inn, camping, cabins, boat ramps, a marina, restaurants and a wonderful outdoor museum. Very nice place to spend a weekend.

The outdoor museum of vehicles and aircraft was an awesome sight. The park offers bicycles and canoes to rent. The park was wide open for frisbee and other forms of recreation and... More
