Very nice state park. Great camping sites along the lake, with electrical hook-ups and water at each site(both tent and RV sites). Very clean bath facilities, with washer and dryer available. There is an area for model airplanes to be flown. Disc golf, playgrounds, and an area with vintage tanks and airplanes from past wars are displayed. Gorgeous lake with... More

Great lake...though i have never had much luck fishing in it. Great biking with several roads to choose from. A model plane airfield, disk golf, golf course that needs some help and cabins that are old but will suit anyone who just wants to get away.

It is a beautiful park. Has a beach and plenty of bathrooms. I like the arial field they have for the plane hobbiests. They also have planes and helicopters for when my grandpa was in the war. Nice to see and glad my son can see how things has changed.

Wow! Georgia Veterans State Park is so beautiful! Located on lovely lake Blacksheer just outside of Cordell, Ga. This park is a touching tribute to the veterans of our country. The park is pristine, the boathouse spotless, the hiking trails maintained well and the restaurant fablouis! A more lovely setting for dining you would be hard pressed to find. We... More

We were riding our Harley's in the middle of Georgia and found this very nice and educational veterans park along Lake Blackshear. There were several pieces of military hardware including tanks, planes, artillery and a Marine AmTrack. Further down the road was a nice grill with cold drinks and hot food at the Lake's Marina. I'm glad we made this... More

There are lakeside campsites on the outer loop and on the inner loop sites are close to the lake. The boat ramp is at one end near the lodge. There is another loop across the road that is, in my opinion, much better. The sites are larger, there are huge grassy areas for walking & playing. It is also a... More

You have so many things you can do like: Boating, swimming, camping, cottages, live music on weekend, and family outtings. I don't have anything I dislike like about the park but people need to respect others and what does not belong to them and obey the rules they have!
