We hired Don, the son in law of Dianne Quigley, owner of Long Mountain B&B to take a group of us to the forest to see some of the waterfalls. It had rained but the forest gleamed with its beauty. The waterfalls were breath taking and we loved our memorable time there.

I live here. Find nature by traveling the forest service roads. Plenty of hiking to do and wildlife to see. The Appalachian Trail cuts one of the many paths through this wilderness.

The National Forest is massive with numerous trails and tracks. We were looking for forest trails for our Jeep, and had no problem finding fun romps. A short hike on a well maintained trail took us to a spectacular waterfall. Looks like a great place to camp and fish.

The fall views, especially, as we ride through the area in the higher elevations are wonderful, although maybe no as significant as the Pisgah Forest not too far away. This one is quite close to us, and we enjoy the opportunities. Good hiking trails available.

Peace and the great outdoors. I live up here - you can only visit. Whatever you do in the woods - somone up here will make it fun to do in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Bring you camera 'cause we still have animals, scenery, waterfalls and everything. Plus it's about 10 degrees cooler than Atlanta most of the time.

We walked and drove for miles through some of the most beautiful terrain in the southeast. Every turn in the road was another "photo op!"

The forest goes beyond Clayton so if you are in the Mark Trail Wilderness in Union County then take the long forest road 44 for five miles. The fall parking area is just past the campground, the path is short and easy to a wonderful 70 foot fall
