Jewel hidden in the middle of the city with great plant sales in spring and fall. Gardens are currently undergoing some upgrades. This is a great place for a picnic!
one problem is we went on a sweltering day in July and there were large creepy spider webs all over and we were so hot it was hard to walk, but the gardens were still very attractive. however we are spoiled because we just came back from southern California and attended the Los Angeles Arboretum and the Huntington Library so... It's such a beautiful location that you will wish it were larger. You can easily see it in a couple hours but take your time to "smell the roses." You could easily spend an afternoon here just strolling and sitting. You won't be disappointed if you like to see plants and flowers of all types. A great value as well...they... More
I visited Mounts Botanical Garden in June 2013. It was a wonderful, tranquil experience, once I found it. The Garden is located on a very busy commercial street and has very poor signage. I drove by it several times while trying to watch signs and 4 lanes of traffic. I had the good fortune to come upon a man who... More
Located on Military Trail, this garden is overlooked by many but it is instead a good value and a nice place to spend a couple of hours in West Palm. it's not too big but it offers a good break opportunity to cool off and enjoy some plants and flowers without having to take a trip. The location is an... More
This is a publicly maintained garden that is a cut above most gardens of this type. It is large, has a good variety of well labelled plants that the average FL home gardener could plant. Strolling the paths is a very pleasant experience.
Flowers and shrubs are gorgeous and well marked so you know what you're looking at. The staff take such good care of this place that its a pleasure to visit and a pleasure to show off to visitors from out of state.
The Mounts Botanical Garden was listed in the AAA tour book, so we decided to visit. It features a variety of well-planned and diverse gardens, ranging from one designed to attract butterflies, to vegetable and fruit gardens, to flowering shade gardens. There's a large pond with a lovely island connected by bridge. The tropical forest area was amazing, and a... More
What a nice place to just walk aroung and meditate. One could spend hours in one spot taking in the view or musing with the spirits. Every now and then they hold a sale of flowers or small shrubs. Try and catch those events. I understand they also hold inservice courses for Master Gardeners. It's certainly an asset to have... More
The garden is tucked in, but the available space is well used. We spent about two hours and could have easily spent another. I really like how the sub-gardens (sun, shade, rain, vegetable, butterfly, etc.) are arranged so you really get the individual feel of each one. There are many really nice spots for a lunch and I wish we'd... More
