This park includes bike paths on both sides of the waterway. This is very safe for biking. There is lots of animal life like birds and turtles.

Waterway Park extends from Caspersen's Beach to Venice Avenue. Ride your bike from the center of the town.

You can bike from Sarasota to Venice. The Venice part of the trail is the most interesting and pretty. It has good access to the beaches and downtown Venice. It goes along the intercoastal waterway. It is safe and a lot of fun. Downtown Venice is nice with good restaurants. The Venice and Caspersen beaches are very easy to get... More

Kudos to the City of Venice for building this multi-use, paved trail along either side of the Intracoastal Waterway south from Venice Avenue. The trail takes advantage of views of the waterway that was carved from Hackney Creek to continue the Intracoastal Waterway south from Venice Inlet and Dona Bay to Lemon Bay and Englewood. It looks like a ditch,... More

Nicely paved, smooth, flat bike path - an easy ride to do with my 5 year-old. We had a tail wind on the way out (heading inland), so it took some coaxing to get my son to complete the return trip. Also the lack of any barrier between the path and the waterway made be a little nervous, especially for... More

Bike it or walk it along the intercoastal waterway and enjoy the view. There are benches to sit and relax along the way and at the south end, near Caspersen Beach, you feel like you've left civilization behind.
