I've ridden the paved section of this trail numerous times and it is very adequate. The trail has recently been repaved making for a smooth continuous ride all the way down to the St. Marks river. The only qualm I had about the ride is that it can get boring. It is a 16 mile straight shot with almost no... More

I like long rides with no automobile traffic, 30 to 60 miles in length, and I was delighted to discover the St Marks Trail, in Tallahassee. The round-trip ride is a perfect workout, and I always try to get in a few quick-paced rides every time I'm in the area. The St Marks is one of the flattest trails I've... More

Unfortunately, it's one of the only bike trails in the area. But it is good enough that we take it a few times each year. The entire trail is something like 22 miles long, but we generally just do the portion from St. Marks 16 miles (32 round trip) to the edge of Tallahassee. There are a couple of parks... More

Migrating birds abundant. Bring your bird books and binoculars for a real treat. Met a few serious birders who had come from many miles away and were happy to share their knowledge of birds.

Well maintained wide paved flat straight multi-purpose trail. Goes right to the little town of Saint Marks. Recommend. Little scenery along the way except forest, but nothing wrong with that!

Make an afternoon out of this trail! Starts in Tallahassee and goes all the way down to St Marks. You can hop off in Woodville and check out the Woodville IGA. (a step back in time....) There is also a "local" restaurant "Savannahs" in Wakulla about 12 miles down. In St Marks stop in at the "Riverside Cafe" for a... More

I took my first visit/ride along the trail and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even if it was a bit cool and breezy. It is well paved, protected from traffic and quiet. There are a number of benches along the route and also restroom facilities at key junction points.

This trail is great and used by many. Part of the trail was recently widened. A lot of it is in shade. they have added several benches and rest rooms along the way. I believe it is about 18 miles one direction. People mainly bike or roller blade. A cool trip idea would be to park in the lot just... More
